Dr. Winfield Bevins is the founding pastor of Church of the Outer Banks and Canon of Church Planting for Kardia Church Planting Initiative. Before moving to the Outer Banks, he was a pastor and college instructor in Tennessee. He speaks at conferences, workshops, and retreats throughout the United States on a variety of topics. He has a Doctorate from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
He has written several books including Our Common Prayer: A Field Guide to the Book of Common Prayer , Creed: Connect to the Essentials of the Historic Christian Faith, and Rediscovering John Wesley. One of his passions is to help contemporary Christians connect to the historic essentials of the Christian faith through his writing and teaching.
Winfield lives in the beautiful beach community of the Outer Banks with his wife Kay and three daughters Elizabeth, Anna Belle, and Caroline. He loves to surf, paint, and take long walks on the beach with his family. On any given day, he can be found at the local coffee shop reading a book or talking with others about life and faith.
