Dr. Winfield Bevins is the founding pastor of Church of the Outer Banks, which he and his wife Kay started in June of 2005. Prior to coming to the Outer Banks, he was a pastor and college professor in Tennessee. His life’s passion in ministry is discipleship and helping start new churches. He has been involved with training church planters from different denominations. He serves as president of PLANT NC, a church planting network in North Carolina.
Winfield is the author of several books including Creed: Connect to the Historic Christian Faith (Nav Press, 2011). He speaks at conferences, workshops, and retreats throughout the United States on a variety of topics. He has a Doctorate from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
Winfield lives in the beautiful beach community of the Outer Banks with his wife Kay and two daughters Elizabeth and Anna Belle. He loves to surf, paint, and take long walks on the beach with his family. On any given day, he can be found at the local coffee shop reading a book or talking with others about life and faith.
