Community Groups
If you’re new to the church or have been here since the beginning we want to see you connected in a community group. Community is a gift of God and essential for your growth as an individual and our growth as a church. It is a place where we encourage and challenge one another in our journey to know Jesus in deeper and more personal ways. In Community Groups, people talk through life issues, eat together, pray together, laugh together, struggle together, and serve others as we are transformed by the grace of God in our lives.

OBX kids
Church of the Outer Banks puts a very high priority on loving our children. We believe that our children are among the greatest of blessings. We live this out in many ways, including equipping parents by showing them what it looks like to be God honoring, Biblical leaders of their families. Our goal is to create and maintain a warm and dynamic atmosphere in which to point our kids to the truths of Jesus. Our children’s ministry aims to partner with you as parents in the spiritual development of your children.

Youth
We believe that students are not too young to have a faith of their own. Youth at Church OBX exists to challenge high school and middle school students to develop a Christ-centered life through outreach, studying God’s Word, and genuine service. Our High School community groups meet separately. High School students meet at 7:00 on Wednesday nights at the office in Kitty Hawk.

Prayer and Worship Night
Come and join us for the first Sunday Night of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the office in Kitty Hawk for a time of Prayer and Worship. It will be a special evening of worship and prayer for our Church and Community.
Baptism
In the Old Testament, baptism means washing or cleansing. It was a ritual that symbolized purity. In the New Testament, it continued to have that meaning but another element was added. Baptism also became symbolic of death and resurrection. The immersion of the body under the water indicates death to an old way of life and the raising of the body out of the water indicates the resurrection to a new way of life as a follower of Christ.
