Below, you'll find a list of ministries and opportunities for connection at Church of the Outer Banks...
If you’re new to the church or have been here since the beginning we want to see you connected in a Life Group. In Life Groups, people talk through life issues, eat together, pray together, laugh together, struggle together, and serve others as we are transformed by the grace of God in our lives. Life Groups are the hub of our ministry. They’re the place where the real ministry of the church takes place as we study God’s Word, while supporting and sharing our lives with one another. We believe that meeting together on a regular basis is time well spent. Life Groups meet on various nights of the week in homes throughout the Outer Banks. Contact the church office to find a Life Group for you!
Church of the Outer Banks puts a very high priority on loving our children. We believe that our children are among the greatest of blessings. We live this out in many ways, including equipping parents by showing them what it looks like to be God honoring, Biblical leaders of their families. Our goal is to create and maintain a warm and dynamic atmosphere in which to point our kids to the truths of Jesus. Our children’s ministry aims to partner with you as parents in the spiritual development of your children.

During the school year our Middle school and High school Church Youth group meets every Wednesday at 6:33 p.m. at different homes on the Outer Banks! Our summer youth flow will be every other Wednesday, you can see the calendar on the "Events" tab on the site as well for details. Contact our Youth Pastor Forest Davis at (252) 305-0709 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Every year we give people an opportunity to become core members of our church by filling out a membership form. We do not view membership as simply being a name on a list in the church office. Rather, being a member means that you take ownership of this church and support it through regularly attending, giving, and serving. If you have been coming long enough to consider this church your home and can commit to the four points below we invite you to partner with us and become an active member. Please fill out the membership form on the back table and drop in one of the offering baskets.
In the Old Testament, baptism means washing or cleansing. It was a ritual that symbolized purity. In the New Testament, it continued to have that meaning but another element was added. Baptism also became symbolic of death and resurrection. The immersion of the body under the water indicates death to an old way of life and the raising of the body out of the water indicates the resurrection to a new way of life as a follower of Christ.
